High School Grads Get Super Real About What The College Admissions Process Is Like:
Recent Grads Wish They Had Worried Less!
What’s one thing this year’s high school grads would do differently if they had the chance to go back in time?
According to a new survey from Seventeen magazine and the College Board, a whopping 68 percent of students said they wish they had spent less time worrying during the college application process.
But that doesn’t mean this year’s seniors believe students should slack off when it comes to applying to college.
In fact, just the opposite is true. More than 100,000 members of the Class of 2018 responded to the survey, and the majority said they wished they had sought advice more often and spent more time on their college applications.
The college application process can be an emotion-packed ride—just ask anyone who's gone through it. You can be excited, stressed, confused . . . sometimes all at once. At least that's what nearly 100,000 members of the Class of 2018 said in a recent survey by Seventeen and the College Board, which also covered topics such as practice SATs, helpful resources when it came to choosing a school (advice from parents/guardians was No. 1), and what makes grads nervous about going away (hello $$!).
Most students agreed on one thing: 90 percent said they were glad high school was over, yet 68 percent said they will miss it.
Use what they learned to make your life easier.
